Why is reading important?

As an educator, I have many students that rarely read. I decided to do some research, and bring together interesting facts about why reading is important. I hope that these facts can convince you, a student to begin reading, or a parent to cultivate the love of reading in your child.

Why is reading important? Reading allows the learning of new knowledge. It teaches us new forms of expression that enable us to express our thoughts. Through reading we can train our critical thinking skill. 

There are many more reasons why reading is important. Below I will share with you the top most reasons and strategies to get into the habit of reading.
